After bidding goodbye to your car detailer, you and your PPF are on your own…

Nah, course you are not! The P10X team is always contactable!

Joke aside, it is important to know what you CAN or CANNOT do right after applying PPF.

PPF Application: Day 0 - 14 👶🏻

This is the MOST delicate stage of PPF, where the film is still curing. So treat it like a newborn ◡̈

DO NOT Poke or try chasing out any air bubbles below the film

DO NOT Wash/Wax your car

TRY NOT TO Expose your car to water unnecessarily

TRY NOT TO Drive your car for the first week, if possible

The setting solution used during PPF installation may cause bubbles to form under the film. It will take a few days for the bubbles to evaporate via the film’s pores.

PPF Application: Day 14 Onwards

Biweekly washing is advised, if you drive daily

Hydrate the PPF surface before wiping any dust off

This reduces friction which can cause damage to the film

Remove bird droppings/ bug splatter ASAP

This prevents your PPF from absorbing the contaminants and became dull.

DO NOT use pressure water on PPF

DO NOT use powdered detergent on PPF

Do not use aggressive chemical on PPF

e.g. tar remover, clay cleansers, degreasers

Compared to a car without PPF, I would say taking care of a car with PPF is less strenuous and time consuming.

Dust and dirt can be easily cleaned, where you don’t have to worry about hurting the car paint.

Nevertheless, as PPF is an expensive investment, I would recommend proper care to extend PPF’s life.
