The best quality PPF in the world today is made of TPU.
Similar to the evolution of Nokia 3310 to iPhone 14 (not out yet haha), PPF evolves too!
Except PPF evolves only once:
PVC ➡️ TPU

Then what is TPH???
TPH
Thermoplastic Polyurethane Hybrid (TPH) is made from PVC. It is technologically enhanced to make it more flexible.
Unfortunately, it is still way less effective in “healing” scratches and has a shorter life span than TPU.
Since PVC is known to contain carcinogens (substance that can cause cancer ⚠️), TPH is deemed the same, especially when exposed to extreme heat in our year long summer weather.
TPU
Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) is not PVC based. It has the below properties that make PPF a great investment:
✅ elastic
✅ transparent
✅ chemical resistance
✅ abrasion resistance
✅ NOT toxic (commonly used in medical equipment)

Since TPU and TPH are so similar in name, we have seen instances of misrepresentation on the PPF material out there.
Be extra cautious and only purchase from reliable sources! If the warranty period is short (e.g. around 3 years), you might be getting a TPH fix 😱
